While born in Los Angeles, Katherine spent
her formative years in the San Francisco
Bay Area.  She applied to the Performing
Arts magnet Abraham Lincoln High School
when she was a sophomore.  After a few
shorts weeks poking about the "drama
hall", she was cast as Brooke in the fall
play,
Noises Off.

Every summer was spent performing in
musicals produced by the San Jose
Childrens Musical Theater (now CMTSJ.)
She danced and sang in such shows as
Chess,  Sideshow, and Crazy For You.

In 2001, Katherine received her Bachelor's
degree from UC San Diego, double
majoring theatre and communication.  It
was here that she cut her first videos on a
Media 100 system, often very late at night,
and for just two hours at a time - the
maximum that students were allowed to
check out the edit bays for their projects.
In between editing and exams, she
enjoyed singing with the co-ed a cappella
group,
The Tritones, belting out a
crowd-pleasing solo to the tune, "Crazy" by
Britney Spears.  Believe it or not, it was a
big hit!

Upon graduation, Katherine moved to Los
Angeles with her husband, James.  He was
to attend law school at UCLA.  While her
sweetheart was in school, Katherine had the
opportunity to work in the Post-Production
field, learning from editors and producers in
TV and Motion Picture Advertising.

In Spring of 2005, Katherine was a proud
cast member of the West Coast Regional
Premiere of
Miss Saigon at Fullerton Civic
Light Opera.  The show claimed the Ovation
Award for Best Musical.  That summer, she
attended a month-long acting intensive at
the British American Drama Academy
(BADA), living in a dormitory at Oxford
University, and studying both classical and
modern acting.  She continued her training
in L.A. at Actors Creative Workshop and
Richard Lawson Studios, focusing on
On-Camera techniques.

In the summer of 2008, Katherine
welcomed her son, Jimmy, into the world.
As stressful as parenting can be, Katherine
tries to practice yoga whenever possible,
and take the baby on family hikes.  Her
favorite escapes are reading blogs and
watching reality TV.
